British TV series adaptation of David Peace's work, loosely based on the Yorkshire Ripper case. Andrew Garfield stars in the first (and best). Cast includes Sean Bean and Paddy Considine. Dark, violent. Try to view it with subtitles. The flashbacks can be confusing, but it's worth it.
http://www.ifcfilms.com/films/the-red-riding-trilogy Three good actors is a horrible movie; De Niro shows his age, Owen dons a moustache, and Statham phones it in. Crap.
http://www.killerelite.com/ Yes, it's good, but I love baseball and Brad Pitt, so what do I know? Wally Pfister makes it look great. Could someone please explain the appeal of Oscar nominee Jonah Hill?
http://www.moneyball-movie.com/site/ Gentle, sometimes funny yarn about an artist, his recently deceased / dying parents, and his commitment phobic French girlfriend. Kinda quirky, sweet story about love: romantic and familial.
Official Site: http://focusfeatures.com/beginners Dream roles for Dominic Cooper playing both psychopath Uday Hussein and his unwilling double: Latif Yahia. It works! Violent look into the House of Saddam.
http://thedevilsdoublefilm.com/index2.html Alex Cox (Repo Man, Sid & Nancy) committed Hollywood suicide with this Acid Western. Imagine if The Clash made a movie: this would be it! Joe Strummer did the score to this oddly humorous and subversive historical (1850s) drama about William Walker's failed attempt to rule Nicaragua. Must see for Ed Harris fans.
http://www.alexcox.com/ Anglophiles and gangster film aficionados rejoice; the Brothers Kray, and the women in their violent, criminal lives are finally available for your streaming device. More old school than modern. Not perfect, but still fascinating.
Wow, this is good. Loved all the music from Wire and New Order. Ambitious project that features a great performance by Édgar Ramírez as Carlos the Jackal: International Douche.

Re-make of a classic from Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer.) Starts slow, but delivers a satisfying ending. Violent, mesmerizing. Okay, yes, I like violent films... somebody please tell me the flaming cattle were CG.
